Every day we send out bouquets that bring happiness to recipient and sender alike. But by partnering with community charities, many of which are based here in Melbourne, we're able to spread the happiness even further. Flowers Across Melbourne is joining a growing list of socially responsible companies that not only create great products, but products that benefit the community at large. By purchasing our monthly charity bouquet you're helping us give back to the community.
Each month we pair a charity with one of our popular and beautiful arrangements. At the end of the month we tally up the number of charity arrangements sold, and pass on a portion of the total to that months charity.

300 Blankets Inc
By reaching out to people who are disenfranchised and socially isolated, we strive to break down barriers and enrich a community where all people are accepted and respected through love, compassion and dignity. The Outreach Program operates to provide people experiencing homelessness with friendship and support in a time when they are generally in greatest need of social and material assistance with a group of Volunteers walking the CBD of Melbourne twice weekly. The Soul Kitchen Program (Braybrook) brings the local community together every Sunday in a safe and respectful environment for anyone who wishes to share a 3-course dinner, chat, enjoy live music, get a haircut or even have your clothes laundered. The Iceolation Program provides fortnightly delivery of groceries to individuals, couples and families across the Western, northern, and eastern suburbs.

Alkira is a not for profit, community organisation that provides services to adults with intellectual disabilities and support to those who care for them. Over 240 people are supported in their daily lives to We have a wide range of community and home supports services. These services enable people to live as autonomously as possible with the shared and individualised supports they need.

HALT - Hope Assistance Local Tradies
Hope Assistance Local Tradies (HALT) is a national grass-roots suicide prevention charity. We host ‘Save Your Bacon’ Brekkies and safeTALK events for tradies and apprentices at workplaces, hardware stores, sporting clubs, Men’s Sheds and TAFEs across Australia to raise awareness of mental health and connect people with local and national support services. HALT events provide tradies and apprentices with the tools to start having conversations about mental health, and we encourage tradies to support their mates when they’re going through tough times.

AWARE Wildlife Rescue
AWARE is a 100% volunteer wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organisation operating in Frankston and surrounding suburbs within Victoria. We are devoted to assisting sick, injured or orphaned wildlife that may otherwise be left to suffer or die. We do this by providing a 24 hour emergency rescue service manned by volunteer phone operators & rescuers knowledgeable in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation techniques, caring for wildlife at our shelters under licence from DELWP, and educating the wider community. We continually work to expand the knowledge and expertise of our carers/rescuers, membership and the general public through regular workshops and events, presented by specialists in the field of wildlife care, and through phone advice given by our dedicated team of hotline operators.

Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre
Established in 1973, Safe Steps is Victoria’s statewide first response service for women and children experiencing family violence. Our role is to assist women and children anywhere in Victoria at any time by providing the support, resources and protection they need to live their lives free from violence and abuse. Safe Steps provide specialist support services for anyone in Victoria who is experiencing or afraid of family violence. Our services include: • Information and referral • Court Support Services • Crisis response • Specialist family violence risk assessment • Safety planning • Access to supported crisis accommodation. We also provide specialist trauma counselling on behalf of the national sexual assault, domestic and family violence counselling service, 1800 RESPECT.

Cancer Support Angels
7 years ago, whilst on her own cancer journey, Founding Director Jodie Hollis realisedthere was a lack of physical and financial support groups for cancer patients. So, in 2019, she set about to change this, and Cancer Support Angels was born.Cancer Support Angels are here to lend a helping hand to people with all kinds of cancer. They are a not-for-profit organisation focussed on providing direct practical, financial and emotional support during and after the treatment period.

The Period Project (on behalf of the National Homeless Collective)
The Period Project is the second project started by the National Homeless Collective (NHC) under the direction of its founder, Donna Stolzenberg. It began when Donna was delivering sleeping bags one night to people sleeping rough and a woman outside Flinders Street Station asked for sanitary items as she had her period and had nothing to use.The Period Project is now 7 years old and exists right across the country. The Period Project gives out hundreds of thousands of items each year and now supports around 55 organisations across Victoria, has two employment programs and supports women and children into housing.

For the month of July, Flowers Across Melbourne will be supporting the National Homeless Collective’s ‘Period Project’; an initiative founded in 2014 for those experiencing period poverty. Period products are expensive and often unaffordable for the most vulnerable in society, by showing your support this month, you are helping them donate much needed packs of sanitary products that provide dignity and relieve the anxiety that women experience when they are sleeping rough, and their period arrives. The packs come in different styles varieties, and each will have extras such as disposable scented bags, wipes, gloves, and hand sanitiser.Our Little Flower Box is our charity bouquet of choice to support this cause, and for the month of July we’ll be donating 10% of the total sales made to The Period Project

For the month of May, Flowers Across Melbourne will be supporting the Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre for the work they are doing in the primary prevention of violence against women and family violence. Between 2019 and 2020 they supported 2,406 clients by offering free and confidential specialist sexual assault and family violence services to those who had experienced it, or anyone affected by it. The time for discussion around these issues is now, and we want to help encourage support and change in our greater society. By purchasing our Darling Disbuds Blue in May, you're not only helping us donate 10% of the total, but you're adding another voice to the discussion.

Project Underdog Rescue
Since our inception in 2015 we have grown into a well-established, reputable organisation rescuing over 200 animals from pounds and shelters across Victoria and NSW as well as privately surrendered animals so far and this number will only continue to rise.Project Underdog Rescue is also committed to tackling the causes of pet homelessness. We have recently started the Project Underdog Rescue Vet Care service and this year we will launch our in-home Outreach Program for vulnerable members of our community and the Happy Dog Project. Project Underdog Rescue is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and successfully rehoming companion animals who may otherwise be killed. Many of the animals they rescue have complex medical and/or behavioural challenges, which with the right care can see them become the perfect pet for a new forever home. Second Chance Animal Rescue
Operating since 2008, we rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats due to be euthanised at pounds and shelters across Victoria and offer them a Second Chance at finding their Forever homes. SCAR has a foster care network with over 100 local homes caring for animals not ready for adoption, has hundreds of volunteers assisting at our Shelter in Craigieburn and at fundraising events and over 69,400 Facebook and Instagram supporters. Our native wildflowers are hardy, bright, bold, and long-lasting, just like our love for our furry companions who we have saved and who have saved us alike. For the month of March, our Wondrous Wildflowers will be our way of celebrating Second Chance Animal Rescue for their hard work in providing animals in need with a loving forever home. 10% of the total sales made in March will be donated to Second Chance Animal Rescue.
