SuicideLine Victoria is one of a number of services delivered by the team at On the Line. On the Line began in 1958 as a telephone counselling service catering solely to the Melbourne region. Since that time, On the Line’s service offering has grown substantially, now offering over 24 service lines to client groups throughout Australia that help thousands of people each year through telephone and digital services.SuicideLine Victoria commenced operations in 1998 as a counselling service principally helping people deal with issues connected to suicide.Since that time, SuicideLine Victoria has expanded its service remit to include a wider scope of emotional and mental health issues, with the rollout of the philosophy of ‘Don’t let it build up’. Today, SuicideLine Victoria continues to provide counselling support thousands of people each year.
